Aquila private game reserve
You do not need to be Crocodile Dundee to understand that Aquila, as charming as it may be, is nothing but an ersatz of a visit to a big National park of South Africa; a practical alternative if you are spending your holidays on the Cape, which is quite far away from the most famous national Parks as Kruger (3 hours by plane just to get to Johannesburg). Aquila is just a two hours drive from Cape Town and although it offers no big thrills, it still offers the Big seven (lion, hippo, leopard, buffalo, elephant (just two), zebra and rhino). Moreover, there is no malaria in Aquila and you don't need to fill yourself with toxic medicine for that.
Of course, when the safaris are over and you have explored thoroughly the reserve´s buffet, there is not much left to do in Aquila, apart indulge in the Spa, or eat marshmallow freshly heated in the barbecue fire while stargazing. Which actually is more than enough to me!
