Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is an elegant little city with very interesting architecture. It definitely has more to offer than Franschhoeck: museums, bars, coffee shops, clubs, boutique hotels, and of course wine estates. It is reachable also by train from CT. We did not sleep in Stellenbosch, but the late afternoon walks and drinks made me wonder if our evenings would have not been more animated if we had. Walking around in the city is comfortable and feels safe in a certain perimeter. There is an array of bars and restaurants. Beware though that you are not in CT and booking is essential, as is early dining.
